Company profile

Company profile

Welcome to Care UK, a leading independent provider of person-centred care to a broad spectrum of service users throughout England and Scotland.

Originally trading as Anglia Secure Homes, which was listed on the USM in 1986, Care UK (CUK) was founded in 1994 when the company was introduced onto the main market to provide services in the healthcare market, in particular the provision of specialist care for the elderly and the mentally ill.

Today, working in close partnership with local authorities, PCTs and NHS Trusts, we draw on our extensive experience and expertise to deliver highly specialised tailor-made service solutions from acute to primary to community care. Adhering strongly to the principles of clinical governance, Care UK’s trained and motivated multi-practitioner workforce focus on a whole-system approach to people’s individual needs, always with the aim of maximising quality of life.

As a company we provide care and support for over 3,000 people in more than 50 community-based care homes and independent hospitals. Every week we supply over 120,000 hours of support to people in their own homes. We build and operate independent sector treatment centres (ISTCs) and we employ over 14,000 staff.
