Mental health services - Care for adults with mental health needs

Mental health services - Care for adults with mental health needs

Care UK provides a range of outward-looking, community-based services including Independent Hospitals, for adults with mental health needs. If you would like to search for mental health care please use our care finder.

Working in close partnership with the NHS and local authorities, we draw on over 15 years experience of providing high quality, cost-effective mental health services that are fully integrated with local provision.

Care UK specialises in delivering alternative solutions to local issues from long stay hospital re-provision to bed blocking and out of area transfers. The solution may be as simple as providing additional capacity within one of our existing facilities on a spot contract basis or may be the development of a new bespoke service.

Our focus on rehabilitation and empowerment means that when an individual is placed in one of our services or hospitals, we work with them to develop the skills and confidence needed to return to independent living as quickly as possible. We have an excellent track record of supporting individuals to move on to less supported and therefore less expensive placements, and in many cases, resettlement into the community.

Low secure and step-down facilities - Intensive treatment and support for mentally disordered offenders and those with high-risk behaviour who no longer require costly PICU, acute or higher security environments.

Independent hospitals - 24 hour nursing support, treatment, therapy and rehabilitation for people detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

Residential care - 24 hour support and rehabilitation for people who still require a high level of support in community based registered care homes.

Supported living - We support people living in a range of single or shared tenancy settings, providing between 2 and 24 hours of support a day depending on individual needs.

Eating disorders and self harm - Care, therapy and education to adolescent and adult women with histories of eating disorders, self-harm and other psychological issues.

If you would like to find out how Care UK can work with you in the development of mental health care services please contact  our Mental Health team.
