Specialist care for people with acquired brain injury

Specialist care for people with acquired brain injury

We support a number of people who have a brain injury to remain living within their own home including those who have just returned home following residential rehabilitation.

These services provide day-to-day support and regular respite breaks for carers. All services are tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual, which are likely to vary considerably according to the severity of the injury sustained.

The majority of people we currently support, have a traumatic brain injury resulting from an accident which might have lead to speech impairment, loss of limb movement, memory loss, personality changes and behavioural problems. Our specialist care staff are fully trained and adept at working with these symptoms.

Care UK are also developing residential based rehabilitation for adults with neuro based needs including acquired brain injury. For further information please click here.
