Learning & development
We believe that a well trained and motivated workforce is essential to the successful delivery of high quality services. We value our staff and are strongly committed to facilitating the professional development of all our employees.
Care UK has its own dedicated training department providing support and development opportunities to all levels of staff.
Ancillary staff are provided with a structured induction to the company and their role. Training and support specific to their role will be provided and opportunities for NVQ’s exist.
Care/Support workers embark upon structured TOPSS/LDAF Induction and Foundation programmes, gathering evidence towards a Care NVQ, which they are encouraged to commence after about 5 months service.
Nurses can expect a structured induction to the company together with ongoing support to meet their needs as an individual, and the continuing education requirements of their registration, which may include management or service specific training, etc.
Managers are inducted to the company by their Regional Manager, and provided with ongoing professional development in line with their role and individual needs. All Registered Managers, not already qualified, are encouraged to undertake the Registered Managers’ Award within the first 2 years of service.
Due to the size and diversity of operations at Care UK there are many career opportunities, for example:
